Collages

I created these collages with the guidance of my soul over a sixteen year period to help me on my healing journey. I became inspired to make collages after creating shadow puppets with my Evanston elementary drama students to perform their original myths. I found that collaging allowed me to weave elements from mask making, puppet making, scenery creation and costume design into a new visual framework. Using scissors and beautiful handmade papers from around the world, I am able to integrate my dreams and visions into a unique and evocative visual form.
